Common Questions About Newborn Sessions
When should I book my newborn session?
Most families reserve their newborn session during the second trimester to ensure availability around their due date. I photograph a limited number of babies each month so every family receives a relaxed experience.
Do I pay the full amount when booking?
No. Your session is reserved with the session fee, which secures your spot in my calendar and includes all planning, styling, and studio preparation. Image collections are chosen after you view your gallery.
What if my baby arrives early or late?
That’s completely normal. When you reserve your session, I hold space around your due date. Once baby arrives, we simply confirm the final session date.
What if my baby doesn’t sleep during the session?
Newborn sessions are completely baby-led. The studio is warm and calm, and we allow plenty of time for feeding, cuddling, and settling so babies naturally relax into sleepy poses.
Do parents need to bring anything?
No preparation is required. The studio is fully stocked with wraps, props, and carefully selected newborn wardrobe pieces. Parents can simply arrive and relax.
How long does a newborn session take?
Simple sessions typically last about 2 hours, while Signature sessions allow up to 4 hours to create additional setups and family portraits.
When will we see our photos?
Within a few days of your session, we’ll meet online for your Zoom gallery reveal where you’ll choose your favorite images and artwork.
